Here are some new-ish pieces I did about a month ago. I visited England in late October and early November, but also made a quick mini trip to Paris where I went to see Hangry and Angry at Chibi Japan Expo. They did a concert and also had an autograph session where I was able to give the artwork to them as gifts :)

Learning Adobe Premiere (Music Video Contest)

Recently I made (and entered) a video with Adobe Premiere and incorporated some of my own graphics/illustrations. The contest was presented through myspace, where they asked fans to create a music video (For Morning Musume) with video clips and music provided. All of the footage was filmed with a green screen so that you could replace it with whatever background you desire (pretty neat idea for a contest) There were a lot of clips to choose from so you could be very creative with what was offered. There were over 400 entries and you can view all of them on their myspace page. Some of the entries are very impressive and look very professional (I'm thinking they had some professional software that most people cannot get their hands on) haha.

Anyhow here's my entry, it was my first time using Premiere so it was a slow process. I hope they present more contests like this, I ended up learning a new program :D

Recently my second cousin Abi, asked me to do a t-shirt design for a project that she was putting together. The concept was mixed races and generations that fall under a family tree.
My mom is cousin's with her dad, and on that side of the family there are a lot of mixed backgrounds (Italian, Portuguese, Somalian, Guyanese, Indian). So it was kind of a celebration of diversity. A design had already been done for adults, but she wanted me to do a design for children, so it was basically a simplified and more graphic version.
Our t-shirts were sold downtown during election day. It was a lot of fun because we were watching the footage live. It was great to be apart of such an historical moment :)

Kylie "X" Tour Book

I just got this in the mail today, and I wanted to share it because the images are really neat!
I can't afford to fly to the UK, so I missed her in concert and I really wanted to go :(
So I ordered the tour book as a compensation :P
Lots of awesome photography and graphics... makes want to go back to playing around with images in Photoshop *O*
Anyhow here's a bunch of photos that I took since I can't scan the book without bending the pages (sorry for the photography flash) :

Laybrinth & Ayaya

Hello hello, decided to post the work that I managed to squeeze out for Fan-Expo. On the left is Jennifer Connelly as Sarah from "Labyrinth"
and on the right is Matsuura Aya (singer/actress) I sold most of these prints at the con and was pleasantly surprised. Going to event has given me a bit of a boost out of my slump. Hooray for meeting new artists :) Actually both pieces are not entirely finished, but I kind of like the roughness and edgyness of the Labyrinth one, although I had a completely different idea in mind. I eventually want to do a David Bowie piece, now that I own two action figures :)

Here's a painting I did for interpretive, I wasn't planning on going in this direction but I ended up doing more portrait work (Then the fashion editorial I had originally planned.) I guess it still says something about fashion though...kind of experimental and whatnot. The image is from a musical called Ribbon no Kishi, which I wanted to see but couldn't afford to fly all the way to Japan to see it haha :P

Just finished one of my visual narrative spreads. I used the lyrics from "I'm Only Sleeping" by The Beatles. Mixed in some textures with Photoshop, but most of it is painted. Yay

Hihi, this is what I've been working on (on and off) over the break with a lot doodling on the side. It started off as a painting on cardboard, but I ended up scanning it in and painting over it with photoshop...but I'm leaving in some parts that are painted because I like the different textures and such. I'm not sure if this is relevant in a portfolio but I've been trying to do more portrait work. I'd actually like to make a series or gallery that features J idol portraits :D Eeee. Its very far from being finished 0__0

Hihi, so I stuck all of the final star signs on one page. I'm not sure how I want to display these but I wanted to see what they would look like next to each other. Crazyness! It hurts my eyes! Harvey likes Pisces the best which is funny because it was the first one I worked on and it didn't take as long as the others. I personally like Gemini :P Some of them feel incomplete so I might work on them more 0____0

I was working on this one last night for Harvey, I also did Aquarius but I still need to fix things up on it :P The bow and arrow on her outfit looked like an anchor at the beginning so I had to make some modifications. I liked playing with the brown colours :D 3 more to go, although I need to edit a lot of the ones that I've already finished :(

I've finally managed to get a chunck of my interprtive project done. 4 out 12 Illustrations haha. They didn't take too long so I think I can get most of them done next week 0_0 I'm doing "fashion astrology", so its basically a girl in an outfit that represents each star sign. For now I'll just post Gemini :D

So its been just over a year since I made a post here. This account was actually created for school related stuff, so its nice that a majority of people who have a Blogger account are Sheridan people :D I'm not sure if Sam is still on here, she was the one who told me to make an account haha, but I think she's gone now 0_0;
I gonna try updating this cos I realllly need to keep track of my work. Its scattered all over my room (and my house) and I need to start putting it all together.
By the way, I really love the new layout template I chose, its so PINK. I'd like to make my own layout but my html skills are non existent :P

Sooo, a new entry eh? I should really try and post more, and be more "organized" x_x HEH.
I have a lot of rough work for 3 classes, plus an essay I still haven't started X_X so I'm falling behind. X_X I wish I didn't have to work so much on the weekend ;____; I can't decide if I should quit or not ;__; I need the money but they're always wanting me on the weekends :P Bah. I'm going to have to at some point...

Okay...so stuff thats due this week.

Wed: Make roughs for album cover project
Thurs: Nothing. (Thank God)

Hiya,
I made a journal for school purposes, hopefully this will help me get more organized (?)
Lets see the stuff that I need to do this week:

- Essay outline for sociology - Due tomorrow, not done, I have to go to a funeral so I will have to hand this in late ;__;

- Roughs and Reaseach for Information Illus: Also not done, will need to work on it tomorrow after the funeral.

- Marketing project for Comp class: Sort of finished, I still need time to finish it up, due Wed but I have been scheduled for work Tuesday night X_X

- Life Drawing: In class painting, protfolio due Fri so I have sometime to do some sketch book assignments.

- Graphic Design/Interpritive: Study for test, make roughs to email Thom X_X

This week is going to be hell X_X
